Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring near a popular southern California shoreline suddenly started spinning wildly, eventually dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Footage uploaded online depict the aircraft starting to spin over Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a steps near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
Emergency responders stated five people were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the crash on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
Planned Function
Officials indicated the helicopter was connected to an annual “Cars and Copters” charity gathering scheduled for Sunday.
